Data Methodology
How BondDekho sources, verifies, and presents bond data from across India's bond platforms.
BondDekho is an independent bond aggregator that compares listings across 9+ SEBI-registered Online Bond Platform Providers (OBPPs). For each bond, BondDekho shows the ISIN, issuer, credit rating, yield, price, and platform availability — refreshed four times daily so comparisons reflect current market listings.
1. Data Sources
BondDekho aggregates bond listings from the following SEBI-registered Online Bond Platform Providers (OBPPs):
- GoldenPi(sponsored)
- WintWealth
- Jiraaf
- Aspero
- BondsKart
- IndiaBonds
- TheFixedIncome
- StableMoney
- GripInvest
All platforms listed are registered with SEBI as Online Bond Platform Providers. BondDekho does not host or sell bonds — it provides a comparison view of listings published by these platforms.
2. Data Freshness
Listings data from all platforms is refreshed four times daily, spread across the day, so comparisons reflect current market listings. Every listing carries its own last-updated timestamp, shown on bond detail pages, so you can always see how current a quote is.
3. What We Track Per Bond
For each bond listing, BondDekho records the following fields where available:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| ISIN | International Securities Identification Number — the unique bond identifier |
| Issuer | The entity (company, government body, or financial institution) that issued the bond |
| Credit Rating | Rating assigned by a SEBI-registered credit rating agency (see §5) |
| YTM | Yield to Maturity as quoted by the platform at the last refresh |
| Price | Face value or market price as quoted by the platform |
| Minimum Investment | Minimum amount required to purchase as stated on the platform |
| Maturity Date | Date on which the bond's principal is due for repayment |
| Platform Availability | Which platforms currently list this bond for purchase |
4. Freshness Rules
- →7-day inactivity rule: A bond listing that has not appeared on any platform for 7 consecutive days is marked inactive and removed from the default comparison view.
- →Broken URL exclusion: Listings whose platform links are persistently broken are excluded until the link resolves correctly again.
- →Per-listing timestamps: Each platform listing carries a
last_updatedtimestamp recording the most recent successful refresh. This is displayed on bond detail pages.
5. Credit Ratings
Credit ratings displayed on BondDekho are sourced from SEBI-registered Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) as published by the OBPPs. The agencies whose ratings appear on the platform include:
- CRISIL
- ICRA
- CARE Ratings
- India Ratings (Fitch)
BondDekho does not assign, modify, or interpret credit ratings. Ratings are displayed exactly as published by the platforms. Rating changes made by CRAs will be reflected at the next successful data refresh of the relevant platform.
6. Sorting & Comparison
By default, bonds on the compare page and bond hub pages are sorted by Yield to Maturity (YTM) in descending order — highest YTM first. This is a display convenience only.
Sorting by YTM is not a recommendation. A higher YTM may reflect higher credit risk, illiquidity, shorter tenor, or other factors. Users should evaluate bonds across multiple dimensions and consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before making any investment decision.
7. Sponsored Platform Disclosure
GoldenPi is a sponsored platform on BondDekho. This means GoldenPi pays BondDekho for placement visibility. The commercial relationship affects the following:
- ✓GoldenPi bond cards appear first in listing order when GoldenPi lists a bond.
- ✗Sponsorship does not affect bond data — YTM, price, rating, and maturity figures are identical to what the platform publishes.
- ✗Sponsorship does not cause bonds to appear in filtered results where they would not otherwise qualify.
- ✗Sponsorship does not influence editorial content, blog posts, or credit rating displays.
All sponsored cards are clearly labelled with an “Sponsored” badge in the UI.
8. Limitations & Corrections
BondDekho data can lag behind the source platforms by up to several hours due to the refresh schedule. In particular:
- →Newly listed bonds may take up to 6 hours to appear after a platform publishes them.
- →Delisted bonds may remain visible for up to 7 days after removal (per the inactivity rule above).
- →YTM and price data reflect the state at the last successful refresh — intraday changes on the platform are not captured in real time.
Always verify bond details directly on the platform before investing. If you spot incorrect data or a data error on BondDekho, please contact us at [email protected]. We investigate and correct verified data errors on an ongoing basis.
